Satin Stitch

Ok, I'm not hugely proud of my efforts here. My satin stitch is normally much neater than this I swear. I blame using this water erasable pen. Which is very useful but does not give you a very accurate line so it can be difficult to get thing neat. Well, that's my excuse. I decided to use a 6 stranded DMC thread to cover more ground and leave some gaps otherwise this would have taken ages.

Satin stitch is a stitch I use all the time. It's an essential stitch

The instructions I'm following state the following. 

'Straight stitches worked close together across a shape'

So yeah try marking out that line properly or pay more attention than I did.
