Rose Bud Embroidery Kit

$35.00

Embroidery Kit

Stitch your own Rose Bud using traditional embroidery thread painting methods.

This pattern is based on a hand-drawn rose bud from my #shedrew100flowers series. I have these kits left over from an in-person embroidery workshop I held in Napier. I’m not planning any future stitching workshops so these are the last of their kind.

Embroidery is a great way to reconnect with yourself and it can be a form of mindful meditation. We live in a busy world that values speed but sometimes you can get more done if you learn to slow down and focus. Stitching is a great way to practice this. Plus you’ll learn sewing skills and produce a lovely art piece to hang on your wall or gift on to someone else.

An embroidery kit would make a lovely Xmas gift for a crafty creative person. Suitable for beginners as all instructions are included but enjoyable for intermediate level and above.

Materials included

  • Six Stranded Embroidery floss - (some variations of rose shades in each kit (not all kits have the same colours)

  • Embroidery needles

  • Printed pattern on cotton fabric

  • Paper pattern and instructions for stitching your rose

  • Information booklet on embroidery techniques by Ngaio Blackwood

  • Bamboo Embroidery Hoop (15cm)

Note: Scissors and needle threaders are not included. Colours can not be selected in advance - all colours are carefully selected for this pattern.
