Overcast Stitch

Well, this stitch is cool. A great way to add texture to a piece. I'm keen to use this again. 

 The instructions I'm following state the following. 

'work small satin stitches closely over the laid threads, following the line of the design. The laid threads are taken through to the back of the fabric to finish.  This stitch resembles a fine cord and is useful for embroidering delicate stems and outlines.'

I would pay more attention to getting the stitches closer together the next time I do it.
