Split Stitch

Split stitch. I doubled up my thread so I could get a neat finish as I could tell that the thread I was using wasn't going to 'split' well.

The instructions I'm following state the following. 

'Bring the thread up at the start of your line and make a small stitch over the line of the design, piercing the working thread with the neddle as shown in the diagram. Split Stitch may be used as a filling where a fine flat surface is required.'

As usual, getting those lengths even is harder than you think even.
